Some forms of chronic pain are obvious, but very often chronic pain is completely invisible.  The person living next door or standing next to you in line at the grocery store might be experiencing terrible pain, but you would never know it.  Many people who have been living with chronic pain are told they “don’t look like they’re in pain”.
